The Rhythm Method premieres a new piece by Isabella Gellis and Molly Pepper Steemson

Every decision was the right one.

The program weaves original compositions setting the words of Lydia Davis, Gertrude Stein, and cellist Meaghan Burke around the U.S. premiere of PARTYSZENEN, a string quartet by Isabella Gellis, with accompanying text and reading by Molly Pepper Steemson.

PARTYSZENEN describes a serene delusion: the moment of an evening when one's desire comes into focus, and the path toward it is clear and absolute: a private realisation made possible by noise; inebriation; vibrating, stretching, scattered focus; acts on impulse; silliness; often forgotten.
